Stocking Photographs

If you would like to contribute photographs to be syndicated or marketed by Sanctuary, the terms are rather simple. Sanctuary Photo Library sells the one-time right to reproduce the transparencies to its clients, but the copyright always remains with the photographer. We pay the photographer 50 per cent of the fee that we receive from the client. These are not set reproduction fees for picture usage, but are negotiated with each client within certain guidelines, depending on use.

While our corporate sales are made at standard commercial rates, we often provide transparencies at nominal rates for editorial and educational purposes that help promote conservation messages. We ask clients to print a credit line for the photographer, and send us two copies of published material.

Most photographers choose to keep about 150 - 300 transparencies with Sanctuary. If you would like to stock your images with us, please send us a detailed list of the kinds of visuals you have available, along with a few samples.

Sourcing Pictures

Sanctuary Photo Library will be glad to provide you with material for one-time use in your publication or website. Our terms vary depending on the nature of the publication, circulation, language, country and other details.

For more information, e-mail us at images@sanctuaryasia.com with your requirements, and we will get back to you right away.

Tips on Wildlife Photography
"A good wildlife photograph is one that portrays the animal best, in its natural habitat and ambience, living its natural life. Capturing its movements, character and mood with good composition, colour fidelity, lighting, tonal rendition, make it infinitely better."
- T.N.A. Perumal [more]
